Not just any bread….but sourdough… or potato. One of the best things about bread is the smell… or is it the taste….. or is it the texture of the melted butter sliding over the air pockets…. hard to say…
Babka with Nutella and home made ricotta. Home made ricotta is a treat that cannot be explained easily…. it’s 50 parts ethereal edible silk on your tongue and 50 parts Where have you been all my life…. Layered with Nutella and esconsed (yes, we said esconsed) in a barely sweet flaky ancient dough that originated in Eastern Europe. Divine.
Tart cherries and semi-sweet chocolate. Bogey & Bacall. Fred & Ginger. This loaf pretty much sings…. Be my love for nothing else can end this yearning…. something like that.
Sourdough with Everything Bagel topping
Sourdough Boule. Boule Boule… Ohhh o Ohhh oh… We gotta go now.
You could go spelunking in these air pockets….. BUT….. it might be better to store your butter there…. Just sayin….
Sourdough with roasted blueberries. Can you say antioxidants and sourdough goodness?
My personal fave today. Sun dried tomatoes, fresh basil and parmesan. Delish!
